Description
Ruinart Brut is a refined non-vintage Champagne from the oldest Champagne house in the world, founded in 1729. Built around Chardonnay for elegance and freshness, with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier adding structure and roundness, it’s a classic expression of the house’s signature style.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright golden hue with a fine, persistent mousse. The bouquet is expressive and layered, opening with pear, apricot, and white flowers before moving into notes of brioche, almond, and subtle toast.
On the palate, it is round, generous, and beautifully balanced, with a silky texture and a creamy mousse. Mineral freshness keeps the wine lifted and precise, while the finish is long, clean, and inviting. As a non-vintage Champagne, it is made for immediate enjoyment, though it will hold well for a few years in bottle.
Production
Ruinart Brut is crafted in Champagne, where the cool climate and chalk-rich soils lend the wine its hallmark freshness and finesse. The blend is led by Chardonnay, supported by Pinot Noir and a smaller proportion of Pinot Meunier, bringing harmony between vibrancy, body, and aromatic complexity. Traditional Champagne vinification and extended lees contact contribute to the wine’s creamy texture and delicate pastry notes.
Food & Serving
An excellent aperitif Champagne, Ruinart Brut also pairs gracefully with fish, shellfish, light poultry, and soft cheeses. Serve well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is not recommended.
