Description

Ruggeri Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry Giustino B 2025 is a refined expression of one of Prosecco’s most prized hillside zones, where Glera reaches impressive aromatic precision and freshness. Named in tribute to founder Giustino Bisol, this DOCG sparkling wine combines tradition, careful research, and award-winning craftsmanship in a style that has made Ruggeri one of the benchmark producers in Valdobbiadene.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the bright, lively character you would expect from a quality Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore, with a fine, persistent mousse and a pale straw-yellow hue. The nose is expressive and elegant, offering delicate floral notes, ripe orchard fruit, and the subtle aromatic lift that comes naturally from this privileged growing area. The palate is balanced and inviting, with the Extra Dry style giving a touch of softness to the wine’s crisp structure. Fresh pear, green apple, and citrus notes are supported by a clean, mineral-driven finish. Best enjoyed young for maximum vibrancy, though its finesse and balance should hold well over the near term.

Production
The grapes come from the northern part of the province of Treviso, in the Valdobbiadene area, where good sun exposure, suitable temperature ranges, and well-balanced soils help the vines thrive. These soils retain the right amount of water while avoiding harmful saturation, creating ideal conditions for Glera to develop aromatic richness and freshness. Harvesting is done by hand and the grapes are placed in crates to prevent premature breaking, then gently pressed on arrival at the cellar. Fermentation is temperature-controlled, the wine rests until spring, and before the second fermentation in autoclave it is inoculated with selected yeasts to build its refined sparkle.

Food & Serving
This Prosecco is a versatile aperitif and pairs beautifully with light starters, seafood, sushi, soft cheeses, and delicate finger foods. It also works well with fresh salads, white fish, and mild Asian dishes. Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C, and decanting is not recommended.

Producer
Ruggeri was founded in 1950 by Giustino Bisol and has become one of the most respected names in Valdobbiadene Prosecco. The winery is known for its meticulous approach to vineyard selection, experimentation, and consistent quality, with Giustino B. standing as a tribute to its founder and a showcase of the estate’s commitment to excellence. Over the years, Ruggeri has earned numerous awards and recognitions, reinforcing its status as a leading producer in the region.
