Description
Ruggeri Prosecco Rosè Brut Argeo 2025 is a bright and elegant sparkling wine from Veneto that brings together the freshness of Glera and the structure of Pinot Noir. Produced with the Charmat method, it offers a refined balance of fruit, finesse, and drinkability, making it a modern expression of Prosecco Rosé with classic regional roots.
Tasting Notes
Pale pink in the glass, with a delicate hue reminiscent of blooming peach trees, it immediately feels lively and inviting. The nose is fragrant and precise, opening with white flowers and typical Glera freshness, then unfolding into subtle wild berry notes of redcurrant and raspberry, lifted by a gentle balsamic touch of fresh rosemary.
On the palate, it is crisp and vibrant from the first sip, followed by a dry, lively finish and the fuller structure contributed by Pinot Noir. The overall impression is harmonious, elegant, and persistent, with enough complexity to keep it interesting while remaining beautifully easy to enjoy. It has the potential to age for a short to medium period, though it is at its best while young and fresh.
Production
This Prosecco Rosé is made in Veneto using a blend of Glera and Pinot Noir grapes. The Glera is vinified as a white wine at 18°C, while the Pinot Noir is vinified as a red wine at 25°C with skin contact for about 4–5 days to build color and structure; the base wines are then blended for secondary fermentation in large closed tanks at 14–15°C, followed by at least two months of aging on the lees. This careful approach preserves aromatic purity while adding texture and complexity.
Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C, ideally in a flute or tulip glass to best showcase its freshness and aromatics. It pairs beautifully with seafood, light antipasti, sushi, fresh salads, and delicate poultry dishes, and its dry, elegant profile also makes it a lovely apéritif. Decanting is not necessary.
