Produced in Tuscany from selected grapes drawn from Ruffino’s best vineyards, this wine reflects the region’s classic terroir, with its warm days, cool nights, and soils that encourage both ripeness and structure. The fruit would traditionally have been harvested by hand and vinified with an emphasis on preserving concentration, balance, and aging potential, before being matured and then further refined through long bottle aging.

Best served with hearty dishes such as roasted or grilled red meat, game, braised beef, and mature cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if the wine is showing sediment or needs a little time to open after decades in bottle.
