Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Chardonnay is likely bright and polished, with a golden-straw hue and a clean, inviting appearance. The nose should open with layered aromas of ripe orchard fruit, citrus, and subtle floral notes, supported by well-integrated vanilla, toast, and a gentle creamy lift from its time in oak. On the palate, expect a wine with notable texture and balance: fresh acidity, good volume, and a rounded mid-palate that carries both fruit and discreet barrel spice. Rivera is known for wines with structure and drinkability, and this bottling should finish long and composed. It has the balance to age further for a few years, developing more complexity and depth over time.

Production
Lama dei Corvi comes from a single vineyard in the Castel del Monte area of northern Apulia, where cooling influences from the hills and the Adriatic Sea help preserve freshness and aromatic precision. The grapes are hand-harvested, then the must is fermented in oak barrels before spending a further 9 months maturing in barrel and another 6 months aging in bottle. The result is a Chardonnay with both regional character and a more complete, layered style of vinification.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for richer fish dishes, roasted chicken, seafood with butter or cream sauces, and elegant pasta preparations. It also works well with soft cheeses and dishes featuring mushrooms or white truffle. Serve chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary, though opening the bottle a little before serving can help the wine show its full aromatic range.
