Riecine Chianti Classico is a beautifully expressive Sangiovese from one of the most respected historic estates in Gaiole in Chianti. It captures the classic soul of Chianti Classico with elegance, precision, and a distinctly Tuscan sense of place.

Tasting Notes
Pale ruby in the glass, this wine is refined and transparent in color, hinting at its varietal purity. The nose opens with subtle notes of rose and eucalyptus, followed by a graceful, lifted aromatic profile that feels both traditional and precise. On the palate, it is elegant and medium-bodied, with a balanced structure and a smooth, rounded texture. The finish is marked by velvety tannins and a fresh, savory length. While already approachable, it should continue to develop nicely over the next several years, gaining extra depth and complexity.

Production
The grapes come from Riecine’s highly regarded vineyards in the heart of Chianti Classico, where the Tuscan hills provide ideal conditions for Sangiovese. Fruit is harvested by hand and carefully selected before gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in unlined Nomblot concrete tanks, with around 10 days of maceration, followed by 14 months of ageing in neutral tonneaux and large Grenier oak casks.

Food & Serving
This is a natural partner for red meats, game, and aged cheeses, making it especially well suited to a classic Tuscan-style meal. Serve at around 16–18°C to bring out its aromatics and freshness; decanting is not essential, but a short decant can help open the wine if served young.
