Tasting Notes
Pale straw-gold in the glass, it opens with an inviting aromatic mix of citrus, pineapple, melon, honeysuckle, and a gentle touch of vanilla. On the palate, it is fuller-bodied yet refreshingly precise, with flavors of citrus, apple, pear, crushed stone, and subtle oak spice building into a clean, lifted finish. The balance of richness and freshness gives the wine a polished, elegant feel, while the underlying mineral note keeps it energized. Production
The grapes come from Ridge’s Monte Bello Vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains, a cool, elevated site that lends natural freshness, structure, and mineral tension to the wine. The fruit is hand-harvested, and winemaker Eric Baugher presses the whole clusters without destemming before fermentation, followed by 14 months of aging in American oak barrels, 10% of them new.

This Chardonnay works beautifully with roast chicken, grilled lobster, seared scallops, butter-poached fish, or creamy pasta dishes. Serve it slightly chilled, around 10-12°C, and consider a short decant if you want to open up its aromatics and texture more quickly.
