Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep red hue with the softened tones you would expect from long bottle age. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of ripe dark fruit, spice, tobacco, and subtle earthy notes that unfold gradually. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex, with a harmonious balance between fruit, integrated tannins, and mature savory nuances. The finish is long and elegant, carrying both warmth and finesse. While already beautifully developed, it remains a wine for contemplative drinking rather than further aging.

Production
Produced in Tuscany’s Chianti Classico zone, the wine draws on the region’s limestone-rich soils and Mediterranean climate, which give both freshness and depth to the final blend. The grapes were harvested in the 1990 vintage and vinified to preserve structure and balance, with careful handling to support the wine’s reserve style and long-term bottle maturation.

Food & Serving
Ideal with roast or grilled red meats, game, and richly flavored dishes, as well as aged cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 30–60 minutes if the wine is showing well, to help it open and separate from any sediment that may have formed with age.
