Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine typically shows a deep ruby core with youthful purple reflections, hinting at its recent vintage and vibrant fruit profile. The nose is expected to open with blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, layered with subtle notes of cedar, graphite, violet, and a touch of spice, all hallmarks of Pauillac character. On the palate, it should feel polished and medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins, bright acidity, and a core of dark berry fruit balanced by savory notes of tobacco, pencil shavings, and oak spice. Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, or classic dishes such as entrecôte bordelaise and mushroom-based preparations. It also pairs beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and if opened young, decant for about 30 to 60 minutes to allow the aromas and tannins to come into better balance.
