Production
Viña Tondonia comes from one of Rioja’s most revered traditional producers, where patience and classic methods remain central to the estate’s identity. The wine is made from a traditional Rioja blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo, sourced from vineyard sites shaped by Rioja’s temperate continental climate and long winemaking heritage. Following harvest, the wine undergoes extended maturation in old American oak barrels and then additional bottle ageing before release, giving it remarkable complexity, structure, and polish. This long élevage is a hallmark of López de Heredia and a defining feature of its Gran Reserva style.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs wonderfully with roast lamb, game, and mature cheeses, where its savoury depth and acidity can complement rich, flavourful dishes.
