Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the dark, intensely concentrated character expected from a great Vintage Port. The nose is richly layered with ripe black plums, violets, and wild berries, backed by a powerful fruit-driven aroma that is both expressive and elegant. On the palate, it is lush, full-flavored, and beautifully textured, with the plush, velvety finish that Quinta do Noval is known for. The wine has the structure and balance to age for 40 to 50 years or more, developing even greater complexity over time.

Production
Made in the Douro, where steep vineyards and the region’s hot, dry climate naturally limit yields and concentrate flavor, this Vintage Port reflects the character of an unusually warm and arid 2022 growing season. The small berries and reduced crop resulted in a wine of remarkable intensity and purity, drawn from Quinta do Noval’s outstanding vineyard holdings. Vinification follows the traditional approach for Vintage Port, preserving freshness, fruit precision, and the firm structure needed for long cellar ageing.

Food & Serving
Best enjoyed with blue cheese, dark chocolate desserts, roasted nuts, or richly flavored berry-based tarts. Serve slightly below room temperature, around 16-18°C, and decant before serving to separate the wine from any sediment and allow the aromatics to open up.
