Tasting Notes
In the glass, this wine shows a vivid, deep color and a polished, alluring profile. The nose is perfumed with violet, cherry, pepper, and subtle mineral tones, unfolding into a beautifully balanced palate where fresh fruit, spice, and fine texture take center stage. Mid-palate notes of violet, ripe cherry, and stony minerality are layered with warm spice and a touch of pure chocolate on the finish. The wine is impressive for its poise and elegance, and while it is already enjoyable, it should also reward cellaring over the next several years as its complexity continues to develop.

Production
This wine is made entirely from Touriga Nacional grown in Quinta do Noval’s vineyard in the heart of the Douro Valley, where the combination of steep slopes, schist soils, and a warm continental climate helps give the variety its intensity and structure. The grapes are vinified with a 10-day fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation, before the wine is aged for 11 months in oak barrels, including 30% new 225-liter French oak.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile and food-friendly Douro red that pairs well with roasted lamb, grilled beef, game, mushroom dishes, and rich Mediterranean cuisine. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for around 30–60 minutes if drinking young to allow the aromatics and texture to open fully.
