Tasting Notes
The wine shows a deep ruby-red colour. On the nose, ripe blackcurrant and blackberry are complemented by cedar, vanilla and gentle spice from oak ageing. The palate is full-bodied, juicy and well structured, with soft yet clearly defined tannins. Dark fruit returns on the long, spicy finish, giving the wine both richness and freshness. Enjoyable now for its generous fruit and polished texture, the 2022 should develop additional savoury and integrated notes over the next few years if stored in a cool, dark place.

Production
The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the area around Lisbon, where Portugal’s maritime-influenced Lisboa region provides a suitable setting for producing ripe yet structured red wines. The grapes are harvested at full maturity and traditionally fermented before the wine is aged for a period in oak barrels. This maturation contributes layers of cedar, vanilla and spice while adding depth and complexity to the dark-fruited profile.

Food & Serving
Serve at approximately 16–18°C with grilled beef, lamb, burgers, roasted meats or slow-cooked stews. It also pairs well with mature or semi-mature cheeses. Decanting is not essential, but a 30–60 minute decant can help the wine open up and soften its tannins, particularly when served alongside a substantial meal.
