Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a bright garnet core with lighter ruby tones at the rim, a hallmark of youthful Nebbiolo. The nose is fragrant and layered, with notes of red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, dried herbs, liquorice, and subtle spice, supported by hints of earth and tar. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, vibrant, and finely structured, with firm but polished tannins and refreshing acidity. The fruit profile is red-fruited and savory rather than heavy, giving the wine lift and clarity. While enjoyable in its youth with decanting, it has the balance and structure to develop beautifully over the next decade or more.

Production
The grapes come from carefully selected Barbaresco cru vineyards in Piedmont, where calcareous clay and marl soils, combined with cool, temperate conditions, help Nebbiolo retain freshness and aromatic complexity. Harvesting is done by hand to preserve fruit quality, and fermentation is carried out in a traditional style to emphasize purity and terroir expression. The wine is then matured in oak, allowing the tannins to integrate while maintaining the elegance and finesse characteristic of the appellation.

Food & Serving
This Barbaresco pairs beautifully with truffle risotto, roasted duck, mushroom dishes, braised veal, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if opening young, to allow the aromatics to open and the tannins to soften.
