Tasting Notes
The wine shows a pale gold hue with a slight mature sheen, hinting at its evolving character. On the nose, it offers layers of ripe citrus, baked quince, chamomile, a touch of beeswax, and a subtle smoky, slate-driven edge. On the palate, the wine is rounder and more nuanced than in youth, yet it still carries a bright, energetic acidity and a distinctly saline mineral core. The finish is long and focused, with the balance to continue developing gracefully over the next decade, gaining even more complexity and secondary depth.

Production
The grapes come from the steep, red slate-rich slopes of Felseneck in Wallhausen, where the terroir lends the wine its signature minerality and structure. The 2015 vintage benefited from ideal ripening conditions, giving fruit with both concentration and freshness, while spontaneous fermentation and extended ageing on fine lees in stainless steel helped preserve precision and texture.

Food & Serving
This Riesling is an excellent match for refined dishes such as roast poultry, pork with apple or quince, rich shellfish, and lightly spiced Asian cuisine. Serve it at around 10–12°C to allow its aromatic detail to open up, and decanting is optional but can be helpful if you want to emphasize its evolving tertiary complexity.
