Principe Pallavicini’s Casa di Campagna Falanghina IGT 2021 is a characterful Campanian white that combines local authenticity with a clean, modern expression. Made from Falanghina with a natural, low-intervention approach, it reflects the sun-soaked hills and long winemaking experience behind the estate.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, inviting pale straw color with plenty of freshness. The nose opens with orange peel, herbs, and ripe yellow fruit, all lifted by a subtle saline edge. On the palate, it is full-flavored yet lively, with juicy fruit, a gently creamy texture, and a distinct mineral tension. A touch of reduction from skin contact adds complexity, while the finish is long, dry, and marked by Mediterranean scrub and a savory, salty thread. It should drink beautifully now and can develop further nuance over the next 2-4 years.

Production
The wine comes from clay-rich hills around Caiazzo in northern Campania, where the warm climate and mineral soils help Falanghina reach full ripeness while retaining freshness. Harvested with careful attention to optimal maturity, the grapes are spontaneously fermented and then aged for several months in stainless steel to preserve purity, natural vibrancy, and the vineyard’s distinctive regional character.

Food & Serving
An excellent match for grilled fish, shellfish with herbs, and firm cheeses, especially when you want a wine with enough structure to stand up to savory flavors. Serve chilled at 8-10°C; decanting is not necessary, though a little air in the glass can help open its aromas.
