Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine typically shows a deep ruby core with a lively purple hue, hinting at its youthful concentration. The nose is expressive and layered, with blackcurrant, ripe plum and blackberry lifted by violet, cedar, graphite and subtle spice. On the palate, it tends to be supple yet structured, with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a long, mineral-tinged finish that speaks to Margaux’s signature finesse. The 2022 vintage should also have excellent aging potential, developing greater complexity over the next decade or more.

Production
Sourced from the gravelly soils of Margaux, the vineyards benefit from excellent drainage and the tempering influence of the nearby Gironde, conditions that help Cabernet Sauvignon reach full ripeness while preserving freshness. The blend is harvested parcel by parcel, allowing each grape variety to be picked at optimal maturity, then vinified with careful extraction to retain precision and aromatic lift. Aging in oak barrels adds texture, subtle spice and polish without overwhelming the wine’s natural balance.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent partner for classic Bordeaux fare such as roast lamb, ribeye steak, duck breast or game birds, as well as mushroom-based dishes and aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for 1-2 hours when young to allow the aromas to open and the tannins to soften.
