Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically presents a bright pale gold color with a clear, lively sheen. The nose is fresh and expressive, with aromas of citrus peel, white peach, pear, and subtle floral notes, underpinned by hints of wet stone and delicate oak spice. On the palate, it is elegant and well-balanced, offering a supple texture, vibrant acidity, and a long mineral finish. Expect layers of orchard fruit, lemon zest, and a touch of hazelnut or vanilla depending on élevage. While already appealing in youth, it should also develop beautifully over the next several years, gaining complexity and depth.

En Chatenay is a carefully selected site within Pouilly-Fuissé, in southern Burgundy, where Chardonnay benefits from limestone-rich soils and a climate that balances ripeness with freshness. Grapes are typically harvested by hand to preserve fruit quality, and vinification is carried out with a focus on purity and terroir expression, often including gentle pressing, careful fermentation, and restrained oak use.

This wine pairs wonderfully with roast chicken, seafood in creamy sauces, lobster, grilled fish, and fine poultry dishes. It is best served cool, around 10–12°C, and may benefit from short decanting if enjoyed very young to help the aromas open up.
