Bright ruby red in colour, this Chianti Classico opens with aromas of red cherries, violets and wild herbs, complemented by subtle earthy and spicy nuances. The palate is fresh and balanced, with flavours of sour cherry, raspberry and plum supported by lively acidity and fine, savoury tannins. A pleasant mineral note adds definition, while a persistent finish leaves hints of herbs and spice. It can be enjoyed now for its youthful freshness, or cellared for several years as the structure softens and the aromas gain complexity.

Produced in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, Poggio Scalette’s vineyards benefit from the area’s elevated, hilly terrain and mineral-rich soils, which help preserve freshness in the grapes.
