Poggio Landi’s Brunello di Montalcino is a refined expression of one of Italy’s most celebrated reds, sourced from prestigious vineyard sites across Montalcino. Grown in biodiverse vineyards at 175 to 500 meters above sea level, it combines elegance, complexity, and impressive versatility in the glass.

Tasting Notes
Deep and vivid in the glass, this Brunello shows the classic depth and structure of the appellation. The nose opens with ripe red fruit, layered with notes of black pepper and liquorice, while the palate is balanced and poised, with firm tannins, red berry flavors, and a subtle spicy edge. The finish is long and persistent, leaving behind a refined impression of fruit and spice. Built with the structure expected of Brunello, it has the concentration and balance to age gracefully over time, gaining further nuance and complexity in bottle.

Production
The grapes come from some of the most esteemed areas in Montalcino, where the combination of altitude, biodiversity, and varying exposures helps produce a wine with both harmony and character. Harvested from vineyards between 175 and 500 meters above sea level, the fruit undergoes two weeks of natural, spontaneous fermentation before maturing for 38 months in French oak barrels, followed by a minimal six months of bottle ageing.

Food & Serving
This Brunello is an excellent match for aged cheeses, game, braised meats, and rich Tuscan dishes. Serve it at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for at least an hour to allow the aromas and tannins to खुलfully open and show their best.
