Poggio del Sole, Puglia Negroamaro 2024

Poggio del Sole Puglia Negroamaro 2024 is a richly coloured Italian red that captures the warm, expressive character of southern Puglia. Made from Negroamaro, one of the region’s signature varieties, it combines ripe dark-fruit flavours with gentle herbal spice, a smooth palate and a satisfyingly long finish.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a deep red colour with violet and black highlights. Its intense, fruit-driven aroma is marked by blackcurrants and wild berries, complemented by spicy herbal nuances reminiscent of thyme. On the palate, it is soft, rounded and well balanced, with generous fruit and a lingering, flavourful finish. Its approachable structure makes it enjoyable in its youth, while its balanced profile allows it to develop further over the near term when stored properly.

Production
The grapes are harvested in Puglia and undergo a 10-day skin maceration at controlled temperature to extract colour, aroma and flavour. Alcoholic fermentation takes place using selected yeast strains, after which the wine matures in stainless-steel tanks to preserve its fresh, fruit-forward character and varietal expression.

Food & Serving
A versatile choice for flavourful appetisers, grilled or roasted meats, hearty pasta dishes and mature cheeses. Serve lightly cool, at approximately 16–18°C. Decanting is not essential, although a short period of aeration can help open the wine’s dark-fruit and herbal aromas.
