Poderi Marcarini Langhe Nebbiolo DOC Lasarin 2024 is a refined, classically styled Nebbiolo from the heart of Piedmont, offering the elegance and lifted aromatics the grape is known for. Made from 100% Nebbiolo from younger vines around La Morra and Neviglie, it delivers a fresh, approachable expression of one of Italy’s most celebrated varieties.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a light ruby-red color with a bright, delicate sheen. The nose opens with floral notes of rose and violet, followed by red berries, cherry, raspberry, and a subtle hint of herbs, tea, and gentle spice. The palate is dry, fresh, and harmonious, with fine tannins, lively acidity, and a silky finish that keeps the wine energetic and graceful. While enjoyable young for its charm and purity, it also has the structure to develop short- to mid-term complexity over a few years.

Production
Lasarin is produced from Nebbiolo grown in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, where calcareous and clay-rich soils and the region’s cool climate help preserve freshness, finesse, and aromatic precision. The fruit comes from Poderi Marcarini’s younger vines around La Morra and Neviglie. Vinification is kept gentle, with 5–10 days of maceration in stainless steel and cement tanks to protect the grape’s aromatic delicacy and vibrant acidity. The wine is then matured for around eight months in tank, followed by a short period of bottle aging, resulting in a clean, fruit-forward style with no overpowering oak influence.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent partner for pasta with mushroom sauces, risotto, roasted poultry, veal, charcuterie, and semi-aged cheeses. Serve slightly cool at around 16–18°C, and decanting is optional but can help the wine open up if you are drinking it young.

Poderi Marcarini is a historic family-run estate in La Morra, in the heart of Langhe, with six generations dedicated to Piedmont’s winemaking traditions. The estate is especially respected for its terroir-driven wines and for historic Barolo vineyards such as Brunate and La Serra. Alongside its acclaimed Barolos, the producer crafts elegant regional classics including Roero Arneis, Barbera, Dolcetto, and Langhe Nebbiolo, all made with a focus on balance, authenticity, and the expression of place.
