Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a ruby-red colour with violet highlights. The nose is bright and inviting, with aromas of cherries, plums, red berries, and floral notes, lifted by a subtle hint of sweet spice. The palate is juicy, soft, and well-balanced, with fresh acidity, gentle tannins, and a hallmark slightly bitter almond finish that gives Dolcetto its unmistakable character. The 2024 vintage brings a lively, fresh profile with a pleasing balance of ripe fruit and cool elegance, making it especially approachable now, though it is best enjoyed for its youthful energy rather than long ageing.

Production
The grapes come from limestone- and clay-rich vineyards around La Morra, with high magnesium content and a microclimate that supports vibrant freshness and refined structure. Made from 100% Dolcetto, the wine is vinified gently in stainless steel and cement tanks with no oak influence. After fermentation, it matures for around six months in steel to preserve its pure fruit, fresh acidity, and the classic supple style of the variety.

Food & Serving
This is an ideal partner for charcuterie, salumi, pasta with meat sauce, roasted chicken, grilled vegetables, and mild cheeses. Serve slightly chilled at around 14–16°C. Decanting is not necessary; in fact, this wine is best enjoyed straight from the bottle to preserve its freshness and immediacy.

Poderi Marcarini is a historic family-run estate in La Morra, with six generations of winemaking rooted in the Langhe. Best known for its elegant, terroir-driven Barolos from prestigious vineyards such as Brunate and La Serra, the estate is respected for its traditional approach and deep connection to Piedmontese wine culture. Alongside its celebrated Barolo wines, it produces a range of classic regional wines, including Roero Arneis, Barbera, and Dolcetto, all marked by finesse and authenticity.
