Serralunga d'Alba is known for producing wines with remarkable structure, depth, and longevity, and this wine captures that classic character with precision and intensity.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows an intense color and an aromatic profile built around dark cherry, dried flowers, and layered spice notes of star anise, tar, and mocha. With time, more traditional Barolo nuances emerge, including leather and earthy tones that add complexity and depth. The palate is dense and firmly structured, with gripping tannins and a distinct chalky minerality that gives the wine real tension and lift. It is a classic Serralunga Barolo in style: concentrated, serious, and built for long aging.

Production
The vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba are marked by iron-rich marl and limestone soils, which contribute to the wine’s depth, structure, and aging potential. The Nebbiolo grapes are hand-harvested, then destemmed and gently pressed before undergoing traditional fermentation and maceration over several weeks. Aging takes place for two years in large Slavonian oak casks, followed by at least six months of bottle maturation before release.

Food & Serving
This Barolo is an excellent match for rich, flavorful dishes such as braised beef, venison, truffle risotto, porcini mushrooms, or aged cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting it for a few hours if drinking young to allow the aromas and structure to खुलly open.
