Philippe et Vincent Lecheneaut’s Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Argillas 2021 is a refined, terroir-driven Burgundy that captures the classic precision of the Côte de Nuits. Made entirely from Pinot Noir, it combines structure, depth, and finesse from one of Nuits-Saint-Georges’ most respected Premier Cru sites.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clear ruby-red colour. The nose is elegant and layered, opening with red berries such as cherry and raspberry, alongside floral notes, subtle spice, and a delicate earthy undertone. The palate is silky and well-balanced, with fresh acidity, polished tannins, and a long, focused finish. It has the poise and purity that make it enjoyable now, while also giving it the structure to age gracefully over the coming years.

Production
Aux Argillas is a Premier Cru vineyard in Nuits-Saint-Georges known for its clay and limestone soils, which lend the wine both minerality and depth. The wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir and crafted in a classic style that emphasises terroir expression, precision, and purity.

This is a versatile and elegant Burgundy that pairs beautifully with poultry, veal, mushroom dishes, and traditional French cuisine. Serve at around 16-18°C, and decant briefly if enjoying it young to allow the aromas to खुलly unfold.
