Description

Peyre Rose Marlene N°3 Vins de France 2016 is one of those rare southern French reds that wine lovers seek out for its depth, individuality and cult status. Sourced from the Languedoc and bottled under Vins de France, it reflects the uncompromising style that has made Peyre Rose one of the most admired names in the region.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, Marlene N°3 typically shows a deep, intense ruby to garnet colour, hinting at its concentration and maturity. The nose is layered and expressive, with dark berries, plum, garrigue herbs, spice, leather and earthy undertones, developing more complexity with time in the glass. The palate is usually powerful yet refined, with ripe dark fruit, savoury herbal notes, mineral tension and a long, structured finish. This is a wine with excellent aging potential, and the 2016 vintage should continue to gain nuance and complexity over several years in bottle.

Production
Peyre Rose is based in the Languedoc, where old vines and a warm Mediterranean climate, tempered by altitude and cooling influences, help produce wines of remarkable concentration and freshness. As with other wines from the estate, production is traditionally low-intervention and highly selective, with careful harvesting to preserve fruit quality and a vinification approach aimed at purity, texture and longevity.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent partner for rich and flavourful dishes such as roast lamb, slow-braised beef, game, wild mushroom risotto or mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least an hour, especially if opened молод on, to allow the wine’s aromatic complexity and structure to fully unfold.

Producer
Peyre Rose is a highly respected estate in the Languedoc, known for producing distinctive, age-worthy wines with a strong sense of place. The domaine has earned cult recognition among collectors and critics alike for its meticulous work in the vineyard and cellar, and for wines that stand apart for their depth, originality and remarkable longevity.
