Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby colour with youthful purple highlights. The nose opens with blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, graphite, and subtle floral and spice notes, leading into a palate that is structured yet supple, with ripe dark fruit, fine tannins, and a cool mineral edge. The 2021 vintage is expected to be more nuanced and fresher than richer, warmer years, with lifted acidity supporting balance and definition. While enjoyable in its youth with decanting, it should also reward several years of cellaring as the tannins soften and secondary aromas develop.
