Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a deep ruby-purple colour with excellent concentration. The nose opens with blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, graphite and a subtle floral lift, often joined by hints of spice, tobacco and fresh violet. On the palate, it is structured and layered, with firm but refined tannins, bright acidity and a core of dark berry fruit balanced by savoury notes and mineral precision. The finish is long and composed, suggesting very good ageing potential over the next 10 to 20 years, and likely longer in a strong cellar.

Production
Produced in Pauillac on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Pédesclaux benefits from gravelly soils that favour Cabernet Sauvignon and help create wines with depth, freshness and classic structure. The vineyard is harvested with careful selection, and vinification is carried out to preserve purity of fruit, fine tannins and the estate’s signature balance.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled ribeye, lamb, duck breast, venison and hearty mushroom dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C; decant for 1–2 hours if drinking young, and longer for more mature bottles to fully reveal its aromatics and texture.
