Made from 100% Aligoté and crafted by the traditional Beaune house Pierre Ponnelle, it offers the kind of crisp, mineral style that has made this grape a beloved part of Burgundy’s heritage.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, the wine shows a light golden color with a bright, inviting sheen. The nose opens with citrus, green apple, white flowers, and a delicate touch of acacia, giving it an elegant and lively aromatic profile. On the palate, it is clean, vibrant, and refreshing, with crisp acidity, notes of lemon and orchard fruit, and a subtle mineral finish. Built for early enjoyment rather than long cellaring, it is best enjoyed for its youthful energy and freshness, though it can hold nicely for a short period.

Production
The grapes come from chalk- and clay-rich vineyards in Burgundy, where the cool climate helps preserve the grape’s natural freshness and finesse. Harvested to retain purity and balance, the wine is vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks to keep the aromatic character of Aligoté front and center.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile food wine that works beautifully with oysters, shellfish, goat cheese, light salads, grilled fish, and fresh vegetable dishes. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.

Pierre Ponnelle is a classic Burgundy producer based in Beaune, with roots dating back to 1875. Known for traditional wines that emphasize elegance, terroir, and regional authenticity, the house has long worked across some of Burgundy’s key appellations, including Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits, Chablis, and Mâconnais.
