Ontañón Kaori Blanco 2025 is a rich yet refined white Rioja that brings together freshness, texture, and a clear sense of place. Made primarily from Viura, often with small additions of Garnacha Blanca and Maturana Blanca, it shows the modern elegance that has made white Rioja one of Spain’s most distinctive wine styles.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright lemon-yellow color with a faint golden hue. The nose is expressive and layered, opening with ripe tropical fruit and citrus such as grapefruit, followed by floral notes, a hint of white pepper, and subtle touches of vanilla and toast from oak ageing. The palate is full-bodied and creamy, with generous fruit, gentle spice, and soft oak notes balanced by fresh acidity. The result is a long, polished finish with both richness and lift. It should drink beautifully now, while its structure and freshness suggest it can also develop nicely over the next few years.

Produced in Rioja, this white reflects the region’s capacity for wines with both concentration and finesse. The blend is led by Viura, with possible support from Garnacha Blanca and Maturana Blanca, varieties that bring freshness, aroma, and complexity. Oak maturation plays an important role in shaping the wine’s creamy texture, spicy nuance, and subtle vanilla tones.

A versatile food wine, Kaori Blanco is an excellent match for sushi, Asian dishes, and refined fish or seafood preparations. It also works well with shellfish, grilled white fish, and creamy rice dishes. Serve chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
