Tasting Notes

Production
Scheurebe is a crossing of Riesling and Bukettrebe, created in Germany in the early twentieth century and particularly well suited to the warm, sunny conditions of the Pfalz. Müller-Catoir’s wines are shaped by the region’s combination of a relatively warm climate, low rainfall and varied soils. The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness and carefully vinified to preserve Scheurebe’s natural fragrance, freshness and varietal definition.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. This aromatic white is an excellent match for Asian-inspired dishes, sushi, lightly spiced curries, fresh seafood, shellfish and salads with citrus or herb-driven dressings. It also pairs well with asparagus and soft, fresh cheeses. Decanting is not normally necessary; simply opening the bottle shortly before serving allows its aromas to unfold.

Müller-Catoir is one of the historic estates of the Pfalz, with roots in Neustadt-Haardt dating back to 1747.
