Tasting Notes
The wine presents a pale straw-yellow colour with youthful brilliance. On the nose, aromas of lemon zest, white peach, green apple and delicate floral notes are complemented by a subtle stony freshness. On the palate, it is vibrant and elegant, with ripe citrus and orchard-fruit flavours supported by refreshing acidity and a precise mineral finish. The 2022 vintage offers generous fruit while retaining the structure associated with fine Pfalz Riesling. It can be enjoyed now, but should develop additional complexity over the next several years with careful cellaring.

Production
The Bürgergarten vineyard is situated in the Pfalz, a warm, sheltered wine region whose sunny conditions help Riesling achieve expressive fruit and excellent ripeness. Müller-Catoir farms its vineyards with a strong focus on sustainable, site-conscious viticulture, allowing the character of the vineyard to come through. The grapes are gently handled and fermented to preserve their aromatic purity, freshness and balance.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 8–10°C. This Riesling is a versatile match for freshwater fish, shellfish, sushi, poultry and lightly spiced Asian cuisine, while its citrus freshness also works beautifully with goat’s cheese and fresh salads. Decanting is not essential, although a short period of aeration in the glass can help reveal more of its aromatic detail.
