Description

Château Mouton Rothschild 2007 is a distinguished Pauillac from one of Bordeaux’s most iconic First Growth estates, prized for its structure, finesse, and unmistakable sense of pedigree. As a wine from a property long celebrated for combining power with elegance, it offers collectors and enthusiasts a classic expression of Left Bank prestige.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the deep ruby colour typical of serious Bordeaux, with the kind of concentration you expect from a grand cru classé. The nose is layered and refined, moving from dark berries and cassis into cedar, tobacco, graphite, and subtle spice. On the palate, the wine is focused and composed, with firm tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, precise finish. It has the balance and depth to develop beautifully with time, and while already approachable with proper cellaring, it should continue to evolve gracefully over many years.

Production
Produced in Pauillac on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, the wine reflects the gravelly soils and maritime climate that define the appellation’s most celebrated terroirs. The blend is not specified here, but the estate is known for meticulous vineyard work and careful selection of the best parcels. Vinification follows a traditional Bordeaux approach, with precision in extraction and élevage to preserve both purity of fruit and structure.

Food & Serving
This wine is an excellent match for roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, game, and truffle-based dishes, as well as mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C. Decanting is recommended, especially if enjoyed young, to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.

Producer
Château Mouton Rothschild is one of Bordeaux’s most legendary names and a reference point for Pauillac. Elevated to First Growth status in 1973, the estate is renowned not only for the quality of its wines but also for its celebrated artist labels and long-standing cultural significance. Under the Rothschild family, it has become synonymous with excellence, collectability, and the very highest standard of Bordeaux winemaking.
