Mount Mary Vineyard, Yarra Valley Triolet 2020 White

Mount Mary Triolet 2020 is a refined white wine from one of the pioneering estates of Australia’s Yarra Valley. Made by the family-owned Mount Mary Vineyard, it combines bright freshness with impressive complexity, making it an elegant and distinctive expression of this cool-climate region.

Tasting Notes
The wine presents a bright, pale appearance. Its aromatic profile is lifted and inviting, with notes of citrus fruit, pear and a subtle hint of passion fruit. On the palate, it is light, fresh and persistent, with a finely textured feel and layers of flavour that reveal its complexity. The balanced freshness and careful oak maturation should allow the wine to develop additional nuance over the next few years, while remaining highly enjoyable in its youth.

Production
The grapes are grown at Mount Mary Vineyard in the heart of the Yarra Valley, east of Melbourne in Victoria. The region’s cool-climate conditions help preserve the wine’s freshness and aromatic character. The fruit is pressed relatively firmly to build texture, while the lees are blended through the wine to contribute added complexity and body. Triolet is matured for 11 months in oak barrels before bottling.

Food & Serving
Serve chilled at approximately 8–10°C. Its freshness and delicate fruit profile make it a natural partner for seafood, oysters, grilled prawns, sushi, fresh goat’s cheese and light poultry dishes. The wine does not require decanting; simply open shortly before serving and allow it a little time in the glass to reveal its full aromatic complexity.

Mount Mary Vineyard is a family-owned winery founded in 1971 by John and Marli Middleton. Located in the Yarra Valley, it was among the first vineyards planted during the region’s modern revival as a premium wine-producing area. Today, the estate encompasses 40 hectares of vines and 18 varieties, and remains an important and respected producer in Victoria’s fine-wine landscape.
