Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, polished profile with crystalline freshness and a refined texture. The nose opens with lemon, lime, white grapefruit, waffle-like pastry notes, wet stone, and a subtle smokiness, all delivered with impressive elegance. The palate is vibrant and citrus-driven, with a clean, focused line of acidity and a long mineral finish that keeps unfolding. Thanks to its structure and balance, it has excellent aging potential and should develop beautifully over the next several years.

Production
Seven Springs Vineyard is farmed organically and sits at an elevated site that offers ideal conditions for Chardonnay, with freshness preserved by the cool Oregon climate and vineyard altitude. The grapes are harvested by hand, then the wine is aged in two stages: 12 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new, followed by six months in stainless steel. Morgen Long avoids fining and filtration, allowing the wine to remain as expressive and transparent as possible.

Food & Serving
This Chardonnay is a natural match for roast chicken, grilled lobster, halibut, shellfish, creamy pasta, or dishes with cauliflower and brown butter. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary, though a short period in the glass can help reveal its full aromatic detail.
