Montresor Amarone della Valpolicella Cantina Privata del Fondatore is a richly expressive Amarone that captures the depth and elegance of Veneto’s most iconic style. Made from carefully selected Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, it reflects the Montresor family’s long-standing commitment to wines that embody the soul of Verona, a tradition dating back to 1892.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a dark, concentrated ruby-red color with impressive intensity. The bouquet is layered and generous, opening with ripe red fruit jam, blackberry, plum, and cherry liqueur, then unfolding into dried violet, cocoa, cinchona, and subtle vegetal and forest notes, all framed by black pepper, licorice, and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied and supple, with velvety tannins and a deeply extracted, mouth-filling texture. The wine is remarkably balanced, with excellent aromatic persistence and a long, lingering finish. Thanks to its structure and concentration, it has strong aging potential and will continue to evolve beautifully over time.

Production
This Amarone is produced in Veneto using a traditional blend of 60% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, and 20% Rondinella. It is aged for three years in 55 hl Slavonian oak casks, a method that preserves the wine’s power while allowing its complex fruit and spice character to develop with finesse.

Food & Serving
This Amarone pairs wonderfully with rich, flavorful dishes such as braised beef, game, roasted lamb, mature hard cheeses, or mushroom-based recipes. Serve at 16–18°C for the best expression, and consider decanting it for at least one hour before serving to help раскрыть its full aromatic depth.
