Monte del Frà Tenuta Lena di Mezzo Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is a richly expressive Amarone that captures the depth, power, and elegance of Valpolicella in one bottle. Made from Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, it reflects both the character of the region and the long-standing passion of the Bonomo family, who have dedicated themselves to this land for more than 60 years.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in the glass with garnet reflections, this Amarone immediately shows its concentration and class. The nose is intense and layered, with aromas of cherries in alcohol, plums, licorice, leather, tobacco, cocoa, and a spicy touch of black pepper; with age, coffee notes begin to emerge. On the palate it is dry, enveloping, full-bodied, and harmonious, with impressive intensity and a long, persistent finish. The wine has excellent aging potential, where its complexity and tertiary notes will continue to develop beautifully over time.

Production
The grapes are harvested around the second ten-day period of October after a short drying period on the vine, then placed in the drying cellar in crates under carefully controlled humidity and temperature. They rest for about 120 days, depending on the season, until the sugar concentration reaches at least 28%–30%, creating the richness and depth that define Amarone. The wine is crafted from carefully selected fruit grown in the Valpolicella Classico area, where terroir and traditional appassimento methods shape its concentrated style.

Food & Serving
This Amarone pairs beautifully with slow-cooked red meats, braised dishes, game, aged cheeses, and rich mushroom-based recipes. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours before drinking to allow the wine to fully open and soften its powerful structure.
