Mirafiore Barolo Paiagallo 2019

Mirafiore Barolo Paiagallo 2019 is a classic Barolo from one of Piedmont’s most historic names, offering the depth, structure and elegance that have made Nebbiolo one of Italy’s most admired grapes. Still produced in La Morra, this wine also comes in a distinctive bottle specially designed by Saint-Gobain Vetri and made with 85% recycled glass, underlining its blend of tradition and modern responsibility.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, expect the pale garnet color typical of great Nebbiolo, with bright reflections that hint at both freshness and concentration. The nose is layered and refined, opening with red cherry, rose petal, wild berries and violet, then moving into licorice, tar, spice, dried herbs and a subtle earthy note. On the palate, it is structured and poised, with firm but polished tannins, lively acidity and a long, savory finish. The 2019 vintage should offer impressive aging potential, rewarding patience with greater harmony, complexity and tertiary notes over time.

Production
Produced in the Barolo zone of Piedmont, this wine draws on the region’s limestone- and marl-rich soils, which are ideal for Nebbiolo’s slow ripening and aromatic precision. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal maturity, then vinified with traditional care to preserve the variety’s fragrance, structure and sense of place.

Food & Serving
Serve with rich, flavorful dishes such as braised beef, roast lamb, game, truffle pasta or mature hard cheeses. Ideally serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if opening young, to allow the wine to unfold and soften its tannins.
