Description

Meursault is one of Burgundy’s most celebrated white wine appellations, known for Chardonnay with impressive depth, texture, and a signature mix of richness and precision. In the hands of Boisson Pierre, the 2015 vintage offers a classic expression of the village, combining ripe fruit, mineral tension, and a distinctly elegant style.

Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass, with the added warmth and concentration typical of a strong Burgundy vintage. The nose is inviting and layered, opening with orchard fruit, citrus peel, hazelnut, and subtle floral notes, followed by hints of buttered toast and wet stone. On the palate, this Meursault shows generous body and a silky, rounded texture balanced by fresh acidity and a saline mineral edge. The finish is long and refined, with enough structure to suggest good aging potential, allowing the wine to evolve beautifully over the next several years.

Production
Produced from Chardonnay in Meursault, in the heart of Burgundy, where limestone-rich soils and a cool continental climate help preserve freshness while building complexity. The grapes are typically harvested by hand in the region, and vinification often includes careful fermentation and ageing in oak to add depth, texture, and nuance without overpowering the fruit.

Food & Serving
A natural match for roast chicken, lobster, seared scallops, creamy mushroom dishes, and hard cheeses such as Comté or aged Gruyère. Serve chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider brief decanting if you want to open up the wine’s aromatics and soften its youthful structure.

Producer
Boisson Pierre is a respected Burgundy producer associated with traditional winemaking and site-driven expressions of the region. Known for crafting wines that highlight Meursault’s distinctive balance of richness and mineral finesse, the domaine has earned appreciation among lovers of classic white Burgundy.
