On the palate, expect a juicy, medium-bodied red with supple tannins, lively freshness, and a savory mineral edge that reflects its island origin. It is approachable in youth, though the structure and concentration give it the potential to develop nicely over the next few years.

Carignano del Sulcis comes from Sardinia’s Sulcis area, where sandy soils, coastal influence, and plenty of sunshine help the grape ripen fully while preserving freshness. Harvesting is typically done with care to capture fruit purity at optimal ripeness, followed by a vinification focused on extracting color, aroma, and soft tannins without losing the wine’s natural balance.
