Production
Meerlust is situated in Stellenbosch, one of South Africa’s most celebrated wine regions, where the combination of cooling influences, varied soils, and long ripening conditions helps produce concentrated yet balanced wines. The grapes are vinified separately, and fermentation takes place in oak barrels before maturation, with around half of the wine aged in new oak and the remainder in one-year-old barrels for approximately one year.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, beef fillet, venison, duck, and rich mushroom dishes. It is best served at 16–18°C, and decanting is recommended if enjoyed young to help the aromas open and the tannins soften.
