Massolino Barolo Berri 2021 is a striking young Barolo from one of Piedmont’s most talked-about vineyard sites, offering elegance, precision and real depth. Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the kind of polished, luminous character that immediately signals quality. The nose opens with crushed flowers, sweet red fruit, chalk, mint and a hint of white pepper, giving it both brightness and nuance. On the palate, it is silky and creamy, with finely knit tannins framing the wine rather than dominating it. The 2021 vintage is less instantly open than 2020, but its energy and structure suggest excellent aging potential, with the ability to gain even more complexity over time.

Production
Berri is a respected site in the Barolo zone of Piedmont, known for producing wines with perfume, finesse and a mineral edge. In 2021, about 30% of the wine underwent maceration in barrel, and the wine was aged for 25 months in wood, helping to shape its texture while preserving freshness and aromatic detail.

This is a natural match for rich Piedmontese dishes, including braised beef, truffle risotto, game, mushroom-based pasta and aged cheeses.
