Tasting Notes
In the glass, Il Potere 2023 shows a deep, dark colour that hints at its concentration and intensity. The nose opens with ripe black fruit, layered with warm spice and a subtle touch of vanilla from the oak. On the palate, it is powerful and plush, with plenty of black cherry, blackberry and plum framed by spicy notes and a smooth, rounded finish. The oak brings a gentle sweetness without overpowering the fruit, adding structure and depth. This is a wine with immediate appeal, though it should also hold well over the next few years.

Production
Tenute Masso Antico is located in the centre of Puglia, near Salento, where warm conditions and traditional vineyard practices help preserve the identity of the local grapes. The estate works mainly with native varieties such as Primitivo, Susumaniello and Nero di Troia, which are well suited to the region’s climate and soils. After harvesting and fermentation, the wine is aged for several months in oak barrels to build texture and add complexity.

Food & Serving
This is an ideal match for grilled meats, braised beef, roasted lamb, rich pasta dishes and mature hard cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C to bring out the wine’s fruit and spice, and consider decanting for around 30 minutes if you want to soften the structure and open up the aromas.
