Mas Doix Poboleda Vi de Vila 2023 is a refined expression of Priorat, showing the cooler, more elegant side of Poboleda. Drawn from high-altitude vineyards and crafted with a focus on transparency, it offers a precise and terroir-driven take on Grenache with real freshness and finesse.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby colour with a vibrant edge. The nose is cool and layered, with dark cherry, blackcurrant and red flowers lifted by hints of liquorice, dried thyme and graphite. The palate balances juicy berry fruit with a mineral, earthy core, supported by finely tuned tannins and bright acidity. It has impressive tension and clarity, making it a wine that can be enjoyed now but should also reward several years of cellaring.

Production
Fruit comes from Mas Doix’s own parcels around Poboleda, in the upper reaches of Priorat at around 600 metres above sea level. The cooler microclimate extends the ripening period and helps preserve acidity and aromatic detail. Grapes are harvested by hand and vinified with natural fermentation and gentle extraction in small tanks, followed by ageing mostly in used French oak barrels to preserve the wine’s pure fruit and sense of place.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with roast lamb, grilled duck, mushroom risotto, or slow-cooked Mediterranean dishes with herbs and olives. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for about 30–45 minutes if opening young, to let the wine fully раскры its aromatics and texture.
