Description
Marsuret Prosecco di Treviso Frizzante Spago is a light, refreshing Italian sparkling wine with delicate floral and apple aromas, a dry palate and lively freshness. Made by the Marsuret family, a traditional Prosecco producer from the Valdobbiadene area, it reflects the estate’s focus on preserving the natural character of the grapes and local terroir. Its gently sparkling style makes it particularly versatile as an aperitif or with lighter dishes.
Tasting Notes
Pale and bright in appearance, this Prosecco offers a delicate stream of bubbles and a fresh, inviting expression. The nose is floral and fruity, with notes of crisp apple and an elegant, restrained character. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and well balanced, with a light, easy-drinking texture and a clean finish. It is best enjoyed young, while its freshness and delicate frizzante character are at their most expressive.
Production
Marsuret follows a classic white-winemaking approach, gently pressing the grapes before fermenting the must at controlled temperatures to preserve freshness and varietal character. The sparkling process is completed using the Charmat method, with the second fermentation taking place in tank. The wine has a pressure of approximately 2.5 atmospheres, giving it a pleasantly delicate sparkle. Marsuret places great importance on respecting both nature and the distinctive qualities of its terroir in the Valdobbiadene area.
Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 6–8°C. This Prosecco is ideal as an aperitif and pairs naturally with light fish dishes, seafood, shellfish, fresh salads and delicate appetisers. Decanting is not recommended; serve directly from the bottle in tulip-shaped sparkling-wine glasses to preserve its freshness and gentle bubbles.
Producer
Marsuret is a family-owned estate with deep roots in the Valdobbiadene region. The story began with Agostino, who acquired a vineyard in Val de Cune near Guia di Valdobbiadene between the two World Wars and began producing sparkling wine through natural bottle fermentation. Since 1980, the estate has been run by brothers Ermes and Walter, under whose leadership production methods have been refined while maintaining a strong respect for tradition. Today, Marsuret is recognised for producing high-quality Prosecco that combines modern precision with the distinctive character of its local wines.
