Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, inviting color with the kind of polish you’d expect from carefully handled Rioja. The nose combines ripe dark fruit with fresh citrus nuances, vanilla, and a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is smooth and layered, with dark berries and plums joined by notes of dark chocolate, toffee, cinnamon, and a refreshing citrus lift that keeps everything lively. It is drinking beautifully now, but has the structure and balance to develop well over the next 10 years.

Production
The wine is sourced from older vineyard parcels planted with 80% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo, and 10% Graciano, with vines between 17 and 24 years old. These vineyards contribute concentration, freshness, and complexity, while the Rioja terroir adds the classic combination of ripeness and finesse. After harvest, the wine is matured for 12 months in oak barrels and then rested for 12 months in bottle to gain stability and polish before release.

Food & Serving
This Rioja is a natural match for grilled lamb, roast pork, beef stew, game birds, and mature hard cheeses. It is best served at around 16–18°C, and a short decant of 30–60 minutes is recommended to let the aromas fully open and the texture soften.
