Marchesi di Barolo Barolo Coste di Rose is a refined expression of Nebbiolo from one of Barolo’s historic cru vineyards in the heart of the Langhe. Known for its elegance, depth, and unmistakable aromatic complexity, it captures the classic character of Barolo while showing the finesse that has made this site so revered for generations.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a ruby-red color that begins to turn garnet with age, hinting at the wine’s structure and longevity. The bouquet is intense and layered, with clear notes of rose, licorice, spice, and aromatic herbs, especially wild mint. The palate is full-bodied yet poised, combining richness with a polished, elegant texture. It is expressive and complex, with firm Nebbiolo structure and excellent aging potential; this is a Barolo that is already compelling, but will continue to evolve beautifully over time, with a drinking window that can extend for many years.

Production
Coste di Rose is a historic vineyard in the Langhe, where the soils are rich in quartz sand and very fine silt, helping shape the wine’s aromatic precision and refined tannins. The grapes are harvested from 100% Nebbiolo vines and undergo about 10 days of maceration before maturation in Slavonian oak casks and small French oak barrels for two years.

Food & Serving
This Barolo is an excellent partner for rich and savory dishes such as braised beef, game, truffle pasta, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and decanting for at least one hour is recommended to help the wine खुल fully and reveal its aromatic depth.
