Tasting Notes
Deep ruby in colour, the 2023 Guado al Tasso opens with ripe blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry, accompanied by subtle floral nuances and hints of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the fruit is generous and polished, supported by elegant tannins, balanced acidity and a layered, persistent finish. Its measured intensity gives the wine both approachability and depth, while its structure suggests excellent potential for further development in bottle over the coming years.

Production
The wine is produced at the Guado al Tasso estate in Bolgheri, where a warm Mediterranean climate, coastal influence and varied alluvial soils create ideal conditions for Bordeaux varieties. The 2023 blend consists of 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc and 26% Merlot. The grapes are carefully harvested and vinified separately before being blended to achieve balance, aromatic precision and the estate’s signature Bolgheri style.

Food & Serving
Enjoy with grilled or roasted red meats, Tuscan-style beef, lamb, wild boar ragù and mature hard cheeses. Serve at approximately 16–18°C, allowing the wine to gain expression as it opens. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended when serving it young, particularly alongside a substantial meal.
