Vigna il Pino is a special selection from a single vineyard (cru) within Lungarotti’s Torre di Giano estate in Umbria, where the rolling hills, clay-limestone soils and significant day–night temperature swings help preserve aromatic intensity and freshness. Grapes are typically harvested by hand at optimal ripeness to maintain both flavor concentration and natural acidity, with careful sorting to ensure only the best clusters are used. After a gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation to capture the delicate aromatics of Grechetto, Trebbiano and Vermentino, a portion of the wine matures in wood. This judicious oak regime is designed not to dominate, but to support structure and complexity, resulting in a refined integration of fruit and subtle barrel influence.
