Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, luminous golden hue with a lively mousse. The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of honeyed stone fruit, citrus oil, toasted nuts, white flowers, and butter-rich pastry. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, broad and supple, with a fleshy texture balanced by fresh, invigorating acidity. The finish is long and refined, with a subtle vinous depth that suggests good short- to medium-term aging potential, while remaining delicious now.

Production
Collection 243 is based largely on the 2018 vintage, a warm and generous year in Champagne, which gives the wine its open, ample style. Louis Roederer sources fruit from carefully selected vineyard sites across the region, working with a strong focus on terroir expression and sustainable viticulture. The wine is crafted as a reimagined non-vintage cuvée, blending reserve wines with the base harvest to build complexity, balance, and house consistency.

Food & Serving
This Champagne is versatile at the table and works beautifully with lobster, scallops, sushi, roast chicken, truffled dishes, or creamy cheeses such as Brie de Meaux. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary, though a few minutes in the glass can help the aromas unfold.
